The TuckGO Global Requirement

The Global Requirement

Every Tuck student must participate in at least one TuckGO course in a country "new to you" (one in which you have not visited for 90 days or more cumulatively). *The Tuck faculty has suspended the ‘new to you’ component of the global graduation requirement for the 2021-22 academic year.*

Each course is carefully designed to help students develop the aptitudes of empathy, awareness, and agility to successfully navigate different business environments.

Eligible Courses

  • A Global Insight Expedition (GIX). As a first-year student you can do a GIX in March only, but if you opt to wait until your second year to do a GIX, you can choose either December or March. 
  • A Term Exchange (TEX). Students apply in their first year for exchanges that take place in the fall or winter of their second year.

GIX

Student responsibility: Students cover costs associated with travel to and from the GIX destination (airfare, airport transfers, immunizations, passport renewal if required, etc.), some meals in-country, and incidentals.

Covered expenses include: Accommodations, some meals; intra-country transport; entrance fees, and other miscellaneous costs where relevant.

TEX

Student responsibility: Students pay Tuck tuition and cover all travel costs to and from the host institution, accommodations, meals, and incidentals.
